INSTRUCTOR

Michael “Mikie” Thomas found his passion for dance at a very young age. As he grew up, Mikie perfected the style of foot-working, danced with various Southside groups in Chicago and then later danced competitively with Hip Hop ConnXion under the direction of Suave and Cyx Wynne. Mikie has trained and performed with many professionals including Fiji Watts, Dionna Pridgeon, Trae Turner, Dome Larusso, and Kate Jablonski. Through his dance career, Mikie has truly discovered his own style of Hip Hop while utilizing other forms of dance like Contemporary and Lyrical. Mikie is currently choreographing and teaching for multiple studios in addition to teaching Master Classes across the country. He has most recently performed at the Chicago’s Carnival Choreographers Ball and continues to share his passion for dance with audiences around the world. Mikie’s love and passion for dance are what drive him to inspire youth and adults to do what they love most.
